The“chargingsystemmalfunction”warningtypicallypointstoproblemswiththevehicle’sabilitytomaintainbatterychargewhilerunning,oftenrelatedtothealternator,drivebelt,wiring,orbatteryconnections.Otherwarningscanstemfromsensororcameraissues,whichmaybetriggeredbydebrisorlowvoltagefromaweakbattery. Commenterssuggestedthealternatorwaslikelyatfault,notingthatwhilethebatterystartsthecar,thealternatormaintainselectricalsystemsduringoperation.Severalemphasizedthatwithsuchlowmileage,thevehicleshouldstillbeunderthemanufacturer’swarrantyandadvisedtakingittoadealerforfreerepairs.
